How did the La Daga farmhouse come about?

Let's introduce ourselves!

a story that starts a long time ago....

My name is Lucia and together with Elia we are the owners of Agriturismo La Daga.
This place wasn't created by chance: we discovered it, imagined it, and renovated it with the idea of transforming it into an authentic space, where wood, nature, and silence describe the Dolomites better than any words.

Before La Daga, we ran Malga Misurina with our siblings and parents, an experience that taught us what it truly means to welcome: caring for people, making them feel at home, accompanying them without intruding. Over the years, we've gained extensive experience in the world of hospitality and catering, but also in creating experiences connected to the local area, the mountains, and the rhythms of nature.

Agriturismo La Daga was born from a story of passion, a love of raw materials, and daily hard work. The building was constructed in 2012 and initially used as a shelter for hay and farm equipment. In 2024, we decided to give this space new life, embarking on a major renovation project that resulted in the creation of five apartments, designed to welcome those who wish to experience the Dolomites authentically.

Today, La Daga is our way of sharing all this. A place open to those who wish to experience the Dolomites with respect, slowness, and curiosity, whether for a relaxing weekend, a family vacation, or a memorable experience.

A total symbiosis with nature

The entire farmhouse was built using exclusively wood sourced from the surrounding forests. All work was carried out directly on site and in the adjacent family carpentry shop, which has passionately cultivated the art of woodworking for generations. The apartments are built from natural solid wood, without preservatives or additives, to ensure healthy, fragrant environments in harmony with nature.

LOVE FOR ANIMALS

Respect for the environment and nature

Even our energy choices follow the same philosophy: for heating and hot water production, we use a biomass boiler, an eco-friendly solution that reduces environmental impact and enhances local resources.

what surrounds us

La Daga stands out for its location: a quiet spot, nestled in the woods and surrounded by animals, yet easily accessible and close to the road. We're in the heart of the Dolomites, a strategic location for reaching numerous scenic spots and experiencing the area in all seasons.

a stay that begins a long time ago

Behind every wooden detail of the farmhouse there is a family story.
Lucia and Elia's father is a carpenter and personally crafted all the wooden parts of the apartments, overseeing every stage of the work with the care and experience of someone who has been practicing this craft for generations.

His workshop, adjacent to the building, is still a vibrant space today, where wood takes shape amidst the scents, tools, and techniques passed down through time. You can visit and discover firsthand how the furnishings are created and the craftsmanship that makes each space authentic and unique.

A deep connection to the land, made of hands, materials, and passion, which is found in every space of the farmhouse.
